Club Swimming Records

Boston Amateur Swimming Club keeps two types of records. They are Championship Records and Club Records.

Championship Records are the fastest times ever recorded in the Club Championships. They are age on day and are in the normal Championship Age Groups – under 8, 9,10,11,12,13,14,15 & 16 & over ages. These records do not have to be claimed as the Club Championship records are updated automatically when the programme is made for the next year. There are no separate recordings of these except on the programmes each year.

Club Records are the fastest times achieved by a Boston Swimmer in an event. These records are age on day and, as such, are in single age bands. These records have to be claimed by the swimmer.

You can claim your Club Record on-line. (Details below)

Proof of the time should be provided, however if the time was swum at a League Gala or Club Championships, for example, the times will be available to the Records Officer. If, however the time was achieved at an Open Meet, then a copy of the results should be obtained. If in doubt please ask when submitting the claim. An up to date copy of Club Age on Day records is kept  on the website.

  1. I am researching the history of George Tinsley Loveley who lived in Boston and was killed in WWI aged 24 in France. He was a keen swimmer and won several medals. I wonder when your club was founded and if he was a member? 1893-1918. he was my Great Uncle.
    Thank-you, Joy Brodier (nee Loveley)
